Another plus is that your feet soles don’t have sebaceous glands, which are glands that naturally produce a barrier-like substance called sebum to lubricate your skin and hair. The absence of sebaceous glands means that the soles of the feet are the best place to apply essential oils.

Some essential oils have natural deodorizing qualities that can work to reduce odor and destroy odor-causing bacteria on your feet. Certain essential oils are anti-fungal and can be effective in treating fitness-related foot issues like Athlete’s foot, Jock Itch and other similar.

Since you don’t need to dilute essential oils before applying to your feet, it eliminates one of the major steps. Another easy and effective method is to apply essential oils onto cotton balls and place them inside your shoes for all-day freshness.

Certain essential oils, like Tea Tree and Lavender are effective on treating Athlete’s foot, Jock Itch and other similar fitness-related foot issues because they are anti-fungal. Tea Tree essential oil is known for treating fungal infections while invigorating the mind and body. Applying Lavender to your feet before you go to bed ensures a restful sleep.

Grapefruit essential oil has an uplifting aroma and helps eliminate and prevent infections. Another great example is Rosemary, which can heal tired and sore feet after a long day.  Lemon essential oil restores dull skin and helps relieve mental fatigue and exhaustion.
