Tell us about yourself!
My name is Amber, i am an artist, originator and creator mostly known for MISFITSTUDIO, Toronto's most unique movement studios Yes, studioS as there are 2!!! And a wellness collective And a 200 hour teacher training program
What is your favourite way to sweat?
The MISFITMETHOD incorporates elements of Yoga, Pilates and Dance in every class. Sweating during a slow moving, soothing, stretching class feels beautifully elongating. Sweating during an intense Pilates class where focus and attention to detail are essential feels deeply connected. And, sweating during a fast paced, cardio infused dance class where freedom pours down your face and flicks off fingertips feels awakening. Each serve a purpose and i weave in and out with love and passion feeding each part to my soul. No favourites, all necessary.
What was your biggest learning of 2016?
Connection is ESSENTIAL now! Observing conversation, shifting the dialogue, taking time to give eye contact, building closeness like never before. I believe this is part of WHY both studios are so rammmmmed. At MISFIT we take time to connect, breathe together, synchronize hearts, move as a sea
What keeps you motivated?
The desire for meaning.
